Travel and Track Diagnosis
Check track tension, rollers, idlers, sprockets, travel motors, and pressure imbalance when the crane pulls, stalls, or travels unevenly.

On-Site Repair, Breakdown & Field Service Support
Crawler crane pulling to one side, slewing roughly, overheating, or failing to hold the load? Share the fault code, boom configuration, load radius, and site condition so the repair team can prepare for the actual lifting-system fault.
A crawler crane breakdown needs more than a general hydraulic check. Track tension and travel, slew braking, hoist response, rope condition, boom pins, pressure readings, and the load-moment system must be assessed as separate safety-critical systems. Lower and secure the load before inspection; if the crane drifts in neutral or a limit device is unavailable, keep it out of service until the fault is diagnosed.
Whether you operate a single Crawler Crane or manage a mixed fleet across multiple locations, Mech On Site helps coordinate on-site support based on requirement, machine type, and availability.

Comprehensive on-site support for all your Crawler Crane needs
Check track tension, rollers, idlers, sprockets, travel motors, and pressure imbalance when the crane pulls, stalls, or travels unevenly.
Inspect rope spooling, sheaves, drums, brakes, boom pins, and visible lattice damage before parts or structural work are planned.
Separate slew brake, motor, gearbox, bearing, valve, pump, and oil-temperature symptoms instead of replacing parts by guesswork.
Make, model, serial number, hours, boom and counterweight configuration, active fault codes, and clear photos of the affected area.
Record the load, radius, movement, ground condition, oil temperature, and whether the symptom changes after warm-up or without load.

Incorrect tension, worn undercarriage parts, travel-motor faults, or unequal hydraulic delivery can produce similar symptoms.
Brake, valve, cylinder, rope, or control faults require the load to be safely landed before testing begins.
Check slew brake release, motor and gearbox condition, bearing movement, lubrication, and pressure before deciding the failed component.
Do not bypass load-moment, boom-angle, anti-two-block, or limit protection to complete a lift.

Simple, transparent, and efficient process to get your Crawler Crane back online
Share Crawler Crane details, issue summary, and site location.
Our team reviews the service need and fault details.
Suitable mechanic is coordinated based on requirement.
Mechanic reaches site and begins inspection/repair.
Repair, inspection, or parts support is completed.

Send the crane make, model, serial number, operating hours, boom configuration, fault codes, load and radius at the time of failure, plus photos or video of the symptom. Also mention site access and whether a load is still suspended.
A reset can clear an indication without removing the cause. If the crane drifted, moved unexpectedly, lost a safety device, or showed rope, boom, track, brake, or hydraulic damage, keep it isolated until the fault is checked.
With the crane parked, load landed, and machine isolated, record the display code and inspect only accessible areas for visible leaks, rope damage, uneven spooling, track condition, and fresh structural damage. Do not enter a lifting zone or open a pressurised circuit.
The technician compares track tension and mechanical drag, then checks travel controls, brake release, motor response, and hydraulic pressure on both sides. This prevents a hydraulic fault from being mistaken for undercarriage wear, or the reverse.
If your Crawler Crane requires urgent repair, inspection, or on-site support, Mech On Site can help coordinate expert mechanic support across India.
